Even When You Have Worked Through Your Trauma, You Can Still Feel Like…

Hey Friends,

I often see people who have become aware of and worked through their traumatic experiences but still struggle with the aftermath.

It's important to understand that healing from trauma is a journey, not a destination.

Here are 4 common experiences that many individuals go through even after they have processed their trauma:

  1. Feel Painful Emotions πŸ’” - Even after working through your trauma, it's normal to still feel the intense emotions associated with the traumatic event. These emotions may come in waves and can be triggered by certain events or memories.
  2. Wishing it Never Happened πŸ’ - It's common to wish that the traumatic experience never occurred and to feel regret or guilt about it. Remember that you cannot change the past, but you can work towards a better future.
  3. Have Bad Days πŸ’” - Healing from trauma is not a linear process. You may have good days and then suddenly experience a setback. Don't beat yourself up about this; it's a normal part of the process.
  4. Feeling Emotionally Damaged πŸ’” - Trauma can leave a lasting impact on an individual's sense of self and emotions. It's important to acknowledge and accept that you may still feel emotionally damaged, but remember that it's possible to heal and move forward.

It's important to remember that healing from trauma takes time and patience, but with self-care, support, and professional help, it's possible to find peace and healing.πŸ™
