Common Anxious Thoughts Most Everybody Experiences

Hey Friends!

I know that anxiety can be accompanied by persistent thoughts that can feel overwhelming and paralyzing 😩. These thoughts can create a sense of self-doubt, comparison, and regret, making it difficult to focus on the present moment and work towards your goals.

Here are some common anxious thoughts that I've seen (and experienced myself) and some techniques to help overcome them:

  1. "I don't know what I want to do with my life" 🤷‍♀️: Many people with anxiety struggle with uncertainty about their future goals and aspirations. To overcome this thought, it's helpful to remind yourself that it's okay not to have everything figured out right now. Life is full of twists and turns, and you can change your mind and direction at any time. Focus on your present goals and what you can do today to work towards your future. 🎯.
  2. "Everybody else seems so way ahead of me" 😔: This thought can lead to feelings of inadequacy and comparison, making it difficult to focus on your own progress. To overcome this, remind yourself that everyone has their own unique path and journey 🌟. It's not a race, and what's important is that you're making progress toward your own goals, no matter how small.
  3. "I'm running out of time" ⏰: Time can be a source of anxiety for many people, especially when it comes to meeting certain milestones or deadlines. To overcome this thought, it's helpful to focus on what you can control in the present moment. What can you do today to work towards your goals? By taking small, consistent steps, you can make progress toward your goals without feeling overwhelmed by the pressure of time. 🐢.
  4. "I should have achieved X by now" 🤦‍♀️: This thought can create a sense of regret or disappointment in yourself for not meeting certain expectations. To overcome this, remind yourself that everyone's journey is different, and what's important is that you're making progress toward your goals in your own way and at your own pace 🙌.

Celebrate your progress and accomplishments, no matter how small, and use them as motivation to keep moving forward. 🎉
