These services are for anyone located in a state I am licensed in, in a mental health field or medical field or currently in a graduate program for mental health services – counselors, therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, doctors, nurses and other medical/ healthcare professionals.
I firmly believe that in order to be a good therapist you need to know what it is like to be on the other side of the couch, so to speak. We all have our stuff that we bring into the room with us.
Working in a medical setting also exposes you to many different things from the stress to possibly vicarious trauma. There are things that come up while we are in that room providing services, no matter the setting, that can be triggering, alarming or eye-opening. Let’s create a therapeutic environment together and help you be your best self for your clients or patients.
There is a fine line between supervision and therapy, so my work is carefully geared towards your own mental health healing and wellness, not your clients. This can mean you working on sharing with your current supervisor what you need in order to be a better clinician or tackling any of the topics below to increase your self-awareness and growth.
